Blackboard is needed for: QUIZZES for Risk Mgt, the bulletin board, certain class material,
additional information on the trading game
and special links to futures and options sites.
2B. ENTERING BLACKBOARD
CLICK BELOW TO SIGN-IN TO YOUR COURSE (but first read how to enter the course)
Go to http://online.fiu.edu/ BUT right click on this link on a NEW page; because if you LEFT click on this link from my Web site then many things in Blackboard will NOT work, such as the quizzes!! Using a right click (to open as a new web page) will provide the correct web address at the top of the new web page.
At online.fiu.edu CLICK ON THE "COURSE LOGIN" ICON AT THE LEFT MIDDLE OF THE PAGE. (NOTE: If you registered within the last couple of days then your name may not yet be in the database.)
Username: Your PantherID
Initial Password: Your birthdate in the form MMDDYYYY
YOU MAY CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD by going to Options/change password
You should bookmark the above FIU online location for your course.
2C. A NOTE FOR QUIZZES: enter your course and click on the Assessments icon. The quiz you want to take should have an underlined link to it; if it does not THEN compare the date and time listed for the quiz to the current date/time - a quiz will not "open up" until the correct time - you may have to refresh your page to see the quiz become available. There is a time limit to the quiz - it will not let you submit answers after the time limit! MAKE SURE to read carefully the section in the syllabi about taking the quizzes to avoid problems!! After the quizzes are graded then: QUIZ ANSWERS ARE AVAILABLE (see the syllabi).
