Ciro Rivera-Casas is a postdoctoral research associate in Chromevol, currently based at the University of A Coruna in Spain. His research focus includes the genetic and biochemical characterization of chromatin dynamics in protostomes, especially as it pertains to the specialization imparted to chromatin by histone variants in molluscs.

Honors & awards
Ciro was awarded in 2011 with a FPU fellowship from the Spanish government to pursue doctoral studies in Molecular Biology.
