MAC 2311 - Calculus I

Syllabus
       Contains the name of the textbook, prerequisites for the course, relevant sections of the textbook,
       exam policy, schedule of exams, grading scheme, and other pertinent information.

Homework
       Contains the list of all the relevant homework problems for the course.    The Student Solution Manual
       which can be purchased from the FIU bookstore also have solutions to the odd numbered problems.

Tutoring services:                                                                       
       You can get help in Calculus I from tutors at the Math Department Tutoring Laboratory, GL 265,

        8am-8pm Mon.-Fri.  and from other University sources such as the Learning Center for Mathematics

        & Statistics, GL 120 (305-348-2180, 305-919-5927) & Minority Student Services (305-348-2436).

 

       I also have a Calculus I & II Learning Assistant for Spring 2012 - he is Senor Camilo Montoya.  

       He will be available at the following times & locations exclusively for my Calculus I & II students.  

       Time & Place:   DM 409 A (or just outside it), 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm Tuesdays & Thursdays;

                                                                                   2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Fridays.

 

      The Math-Stats department, with support from the College of Arts and Science, is opening a study

       hall.    As well as other students, there will be Learning Assistants available to extra provide help. 

      The  learning assistants will be knowledgeable in the following subjects: Intermediate Algebra,

      College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus 1, 2, 3.        The location is VH 180 &  the times are: 

      Mon. 16:00-20:00,  Tue.: 1800-2100, Wed. 18:00-21:00,  Thu. 13:00-15:00,  Fri.: 1600-1900
