Final Grades for Spring, 2008

Read Me First:

The course grade is essentially the grade by contract with a
slight uniform softening in all classes to account for the fact that all
three final exams were slightly long for the examination period of
two hours. This means that, for example, if your final total places
your grade at C level, you will probably receive a C+. As a rule
across all three classes taught be me this term, the performance
displayed on the final exam indicated that there was too little day to
day work done. Of course there were a few -- far too few -- exceptions.

You may view your finals at the beginning of Fall Term, 2008. For
a variety of reasons, I hold on to final exams for at least one
semester. If you would like yours back, ask at the beginning of
the Spring Term, 2009, and I'll cheerfully return it. The distribution of
the final exam scores, as percentages, may be viewed in Recent Exam
Information. Have a good, safe, productive summer. dlr
