In this section, it is important to know the definitions of the various types of continuity.
1) Continuity at a point (Definition 1.5.1)
2) Continuity on an open interval (first sentence on p.112)
3) Continuous everywhere, i.e. continuous (third sentence on p. 112)
4) Left-sided and right-sided continuity (second sentence before definition 1.5.2)
5) Continuity on a closed interval (definition 1.5.2)
