PERSONAL INFORMATION

Robert Saba grew up in Miami and attended local, secondary schools. He began his college education at the American University in Paris, where he received an A. A. degree, followed by a year of study at the Sorbonne (the University of Paris). Subsequently, he completed degrees in English at New York University and the University of Southern California.

His publications include articles for New Times and Miami Magazine, short fiction, numerous French-to-English translations, and contributions to Basic English, a writing handbook published by the University of Miami.

Robert Saba has taught composition and literary analysis at Florida International University since 1989. In 1999 he received Merit Recognition for Excellence in Teaching from FIU's Academy for the Art of Teaching.
