IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS

DATES

  • The course web site has moved to Moodle as of Sun. Oct. 17. Please go to ecampus.fiu.edu to log on to the new course web site. You may continue to access this web site for "Useful Links" and files. However, all new assignments and announcements will now be posted on Moodle.

  • Friday Oct. 8 - regular class canceled so that students work on their essays and complete field research.

  • Week of Oct. 11 Regular Classes Canceled for Small-Group, In-Class Conferences: Mon. 10/11, Wed. 10/13 and Fri. 10/15

Classes on the dates above will be devoted to small group conferences.

Bring a revised draft of your essay, with extra copies of at least one or two pages for your classmates and instructor.

In order to keep the groups small and manageable, you must come on the class day that you are assigned.

If you come on a different day, you will not be allowed to attend, and you will also accrue an official absence.

During the conference period you should, of course, be working on your essay, and completing all required portfolio assignments (mainly they are drafts and peer reviews).

Remember that the final essay is due in class, (in a printed form) on Mon. 10/18. No essays will be accepted via email under any circumstances.
