We use nanomaterials such as nanoparticles, nanorods or nanotubes as advanced electrical conductors or colorimetric signal reporters to perform amplified detections of DNA, proteins or small molecules in complex samples at point-of-care or on-site.


Aptamer-Based Biosensors

We combine target-induced conformational change of DNA with a suitable amplification strategy to specifically perform real-time detections of DNA, proteins or small molecules with high sensitivity.


In vitro Directed Evolution

We develop novel biomolecule assisted SELEX (systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment) platforms to discover aptamers for proteins, small molecules or metal ions with new added bio-functionality, high affinity and specificity.
