About the Final Exam
The following are all things you need to know about the final:
1. The Final Exam is Friday, December 14, from 9:45-12:30. I suggest you leave for campus early -- remember traffic might be heavier because you will be traveling closer to rush hour.
2. Be on time. Once the first person gets up and leaves the room (which will likely be 30 minutes into the test), no one else may enter. Don't put yourself in this situation.
3. Bring a pencil and your ID
4. The Final Exam is worth 150 points. This is 50 points more than the other tests (because you have the comprehensive section).
5. Don't slip up. I have had people take absolute nosedives on the final. Remember, you will be taking a bunch of other exams thatweek, and since this is the last one, you will probably be exhausted and will not have time/ability to cram. Don't take it lightly, even if you did well on previous exams. The key is to get the study guides done well in advance, and spend a little time on them each day. The other key is to attend a review sesssion -- either during Tuesday or Thursday discussion sections, or during normal lecture time in the normal classroom on Wed. Dec. 5.
6. If you need to make-up earlier exams or map quizzes, let your TA know NOW, so we will have it ready for you after you complete the final! If you have not been given prior permission to do a make-up, we will not give you one during the final.
7. Good luck!
