{"id":425,"date":"2017-08-25T13:59:53","date_gmt":"2017-08-25T13:59:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faculty.fiu.edu\/~dolatad\/?p=425"},"modified":"2017-08-25T14:10:55","modified_gmt":"2017-08-25T14:10:55","slug":"glued-on-frets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faculty.fiu.edu\/~dolatad\/glued-on-frets\/","title":{"rendered":"Glued on Frets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Years ago during our lessons, Paul O&#8217;Dette recommended that I attach my tastini with glue as he did, but I resisted because when I would change the tastini for whatever reason (new te<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">mperament, new string, etc.), I would make a mess of it. Recently, however, Grant Tomlin<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">son\u00a0<\/span>showed me how to easily remove a glued on fret or tastino with a very thin palette knife such as\u00a0the one pictured on your left. This led me to adapt Paul&#8217;s approach, and now I am much happier with the glued on tastini than the taped on tastini I recommended in the book.
