I
am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Florida International University.
FIU is Miami's public research university belonging to the State University System
of Florida. My specialization is philosophy of mind and cognitive science. I
have written articles primarily about consciousness in non-humans including
bees, monkeys and bats. I have also written about pragmatism, the extended
mind, the early modern Cartesian Robert Desgabets, and synesthesia. Lately, I
have been interested in introspection and the metaphysics of consciousness.
