My Research

My main research interest is nuclear physics using electromagnetic probes. I am involved in the CLAS and GLUEX experiment at Jefferson Lab, located in Newport News, Virginia. I have also participated in the PHENIX experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC at BNL), and E906 experiment at Fermi Lab near Chicago.

Motivated undergraduate students are welcome to join the experimental nuclear physics group by conducting either independent study or supervised research. Outstanding students could be compensated for their work.

Past Graduate Student:

Jason Bono (Graduated in 2014. Currently Dr. Bono is a Postdoc Researcher for Rice University at Fermi Lab)

Current Graduate Students:

Will Phelps (Antibrayon photoproduction)

Rafael Badui (Beam helicity asymmetry in two kaon photoproduction; Excited hyperon PWA), co-advised with Dr. Raue

Shankar Adhikari (Lambda polarization for photon energies up to 5.5 GeV), co-advised with Dr. Raue

Undergraduate Research:

Di-leptonic decays of vector meson in the reaction of gamma p--> e+ e- n pi+), performed by Jenna Samuel, now a graduate student at UC Davis

Beam helicity asymmetry in the reaction of gamma p --> p p pbar, performed by Sebastian Aguilar
