"Freedom
Tower" is Michael Orta's debut album on the Contemporary/Fantasy
label. The music swings between the two poles of Orta's musical
world. Both the jazz traditions and his latin influences are represented
here in this his first album as a leader. There are five Orta originals.
Other tunes include a solo piano version of "Tres Palabras"
and three tunes from the pens of Ron Miller and Gary
Campbell(tenor saxophone), who also joins Michael on two tracks.
