Description: A one semester introduction to the basic notions of calculus. Specific topics include: Differential calculus using polynomial, exponential and logarthmic functions and its application to optimization; integral calculus with area and probability applications.
Prerequisite: MAC 2132 (Precalculus mathematics) or working
knowlege of algebra.
Text and Technology: Calculus Concepts, 3rd edition, by Latorre,
Kenelly, Fetta, et al. A graphing calculator is required for this
course. We recommend students to purchase a TI 83 or TI 84 Plus
calculator.
