Description: This course deals with the differential and integral
calculus of real valued multivariable functions.
The topics include:
Directional and partial derivatives, gradients, and their applications;
differential calculus of vector valued functions; multiple, iterated, line
and surface integrals.
Prerequisite: MAC 2312 or equivalent
Text: Howard Anton, Irl Bivens, Stephen Davis,
Calculus, Early Transcendentals, 10th edition.

Chapters 11, 12, 13 , 14 and 15
Tests and quizzes:
There will be two midterms, worth 20 points each. The dates are
October 1 and November 12
There are no make-up midterms. A missed midterm exam can be waived
upon presentation of a valid, verifiable proof of emergency situation at
time of scheduled examination.
Final: A mandatory comprehensive, final exam will carry 40 points. The
date and time are Monday, December 8, 2014, 12:00PM-2:00PM, GC 279A.
Students will be given the 0 score for a missed final
examination. However, with a valid, verifiable proof of emergency
situation at the time of scheduled final examination, a
student may have his\her final examination rescheduled for the following
semester's week of finals; in that case, an incomplete
grade will be assigned.
Quizzes: Two (2) 30 minute-quizzes; Dates: September 10 and October
22. Each is worth 10 points.
A score of 0 will be assigned for a missed quiz. Absolutely no
make-ups, no waivers will be granted for quizzes.
Grades: Grades will be assigned on the basis of 100 points.
