MAC 1105 College Algebra Miami Norland Senior High School (rukim@fiu.edu).
SPRING 2011
Description: The focus of this course is on functions and
their properties. In particular, properties and graphs of linear,
quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic
functions are discussed. Ways of solving systems of equations are
introduced at the end of the semester.
Prerequisite: A C or better in Intermediate Algebra (MAT
1033) or adequate placement test score.
Text: Algebra and Trigonometry, Custom Edition for FIU (or 8th
edition) by Michael Sullivan.
Instructor: PHILIPPE RUKIMBIRA
