Chris Brown's concise advice on publishing:

(1) Do plenty of work that is publishable in international journals.

(2) Publish as soon as possible.

(3) Publish again as soon as possible even if it contradicts what you published before (i.e., #2).

(4) Publish a review article to examine the controversy between #2 and #3.
