Grade is based on the following,

Homework 10% , about 5 homework sets throughout the semester

Midterms 60 % (3 x 20%)

Final Exam (cumulative) 30 %
Your final grade will be based on your percentage of the total available points.

Attendance:

Attendance and participation are encouraged. Note that you are responsible for material covered in class. If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to get the notes from a classmate. Any changes will be announced in class and updated on webpage. So come to the class and check this page online periodically.

Exams:

All exams are closed notes and closed books. No calculator allowed. Picture I. D. with signature is required and must be presented upon request.

There will be no make-up exams. If there is any issue, please contact me in advance or as soon as possible. The instructor reserves the right to deny any extra requests.

Homework:

Homework is essential to the course and assessment. Similar questions will appear in both midterms and final. The due date will be announced in class and posted online at least one week before. All homework is due the beginning of the class. Homework will be graded partially.

Solutions of the homework can be found in solution manual. For your own benefit, please consult the solution manual after trying first. It will help you ace the exams.
