Welcome to Dr Francisco Fernandez-Lima group at Florida International University
Research activities in the Fernandez-Lima Group focuses on the study of scientific problems at the molecular and cellular level at the interface of physics, chemistry and biology.
Our laboratories in the Academic Health Science Center 4 (AHC4) and the novel MS instruments provide exciting opportunities for collaborative, interdisciplinary research. Novel instrumentation plays an increasingly important role in current challenges in mass spectrometry applications.
Our group focuses on new instrument and method development centered around trapped ion mobility spectrometry (TIMS), electron and UV based fragmentation, molecular tagging, 3D chemical mapping, ultra-high-resolution MS and machine learning and database data processing.
