Carlos Romagosa

Carlos Romagosa

Graduate Student

Carlos Romagosa is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in chemistry at Florida International University. He earned his B.S. in Biochemistry at FIU working with Dr. Kathleen S. Rein on redox proteomics of brevetoxins. He joined Dr. Moon’s group in 2022 to develop biopolymeric materials for therapeutic delivery and ion detection and earned his M.S. in Chemistry in 2025.

Jarlynn Ramirez is a first-year graduate student and graduated from Nova Southeastern University in May 2025 with a dual bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology. Her previous work focused on synthesizing novel Ru photosensitizing solar cells and computational methods that explore biological mechanisms that naturally prevent skin cancer. Jarlynn’s main research interests are computational chemistry techniques and inorganic/organometallic synthesis to be used for biomedical application.
