Advice from former students:

Create a notebook for class notes and one for hw/practice. Absolutely do NOT take the easy route with online HW and Quizzes. Take the time and do each and everyone by hand. Do this, and I PROMISE you that you will get an A in class with ease.

Make sure you keep track of all the due dates for the online assignments. Attend class and make sure to review topics and take the homework seriously. The homework may seem tedious but take the time to do it and you'll know the topics covered really well. Ask questions and don't wait until the last minute if you don't understand something.

Study for quizzes and tests because even if you get 100% on homework, it affects your grade tremendously.

The online notes will become your best friend, try the problem on your own first, then look at the solutions. Also, office hours are your time to go over what you had trouble understanding. You have the resources to achieve the A, use them!

Pay attention and take lots of notes. Write down word for word what the teacher writes, and if you don’t get something, don’t be afraid to speak up and ask. Everyone is friendly and won’t judge you.

Make sure you do all the homework and quizzes until you get the highest score possible for an easy A. Ondrej also offers a few extra credit assignments that are really helpful.

Use other forms of education other than just the class. If you don't understand something, look up a video or go to a webpage that will explain the concept in a different way.

In order for a student to properly succeed in this course, attendance to all lectures must be prioritized, along with consistently turning in all assignments in a timely manner. I believe that a great way to understand the material well is to do some of the homework ahead of time, before the lecture on that topic, so that the student may already understand some of the material and focus on details and questions during the lectures, because it may go by quickly.

In the first week of class, you should plan and manage your time using a notebook or other things. Make sure the notebook includes due dates for every assignments and you check the notebook frequently, so you do not get blinded.

The best ways to ensure a passing grade in the class is to pay close attention to class lectures, take detailed notes that are understandable to you, and taking your time when doing the assigned homework. Being attentive and making decent notes of the lecture helps grasp the material better. Taking time out to deal with the homework as many times as necessary ensures good practice of the material being covered. Forming study groups with individuals outside of class also comes in handy as well for either gaining a helping hand or reviewing what you know by teaching someone else.
