I am proud and excited to share that I have become an Assistant Professor in the Counselor Education Program in the College of Arts, Sciences and Education at Florida International University!

I value interpersonal connections and enjoy sharing what I have learned with people around me, including my students, colleagues, and clients. I engage in interpersonal communication and embrace diversity as I think there are no borders other than those we perceive, and I strive to see beyond the communication barriers, carrying the word about our profession everywhere I can.

This website contains my work related to the five areas of the CACREP Standards for doctoral programs: research, counseling & consultation, leadership, supervision, and teaching. Each area is important and has relevance for my identity as a counselor, counselor educator, researcher, and supervisor. I present examples of the work I have engaged in to serve counseling associations and provoke social change in the community. I also provide evidence of my professionalism in teaching, my passion for research, and my engagement in supervision.

I like to say that research is my passion, so, on this website I will be sharing my research projects and papers I am writing.
