Research & Scholarship
Research is my passion. Formulating hypotheses and searching for the answers adds meaning to my life. My research focuses on examining emotions.
While in Russia, before beginning the doctoral program, I wrote an article titled “The problem of emotions in western social psychology” (Prikhidko, 2009). Since then, I have received grants and published papers related to emotional socialization, emotional research in social psychology, and intergroup emotions. Currently, my research focuses on emotion regulation and its application to training counselors, and providing counseling to clients. I am leading various research projects in this area.
