Posted Exams

The object you see above (with an IE or Firefox browser, maybe not with Chrome / etc) is a Lissajou figure, a curve defined by parametric equations involving trig functions with two different periods [see Anton Ch 10]. I have animated it by inserting a time variable. So, there are 4 variables, x, y, t1 and t2 and 3 periods. I created this mainly with MathGV, which is a free download.

I have mixed feelings about posting old exams. Every exam that I give is new, so relying on one of these as a shortcut to success is probably not a good strategy. But you can decide for yourself. Note:

Midterm exams before 2014 varied from approx 75 to 125 minutes.
Most finals were about 160 minutes, but in summers they were 75, and in Fall 2011 they were 120.
The topics covered vary slightly from term to term.
I have reduced the blank space between questions to reduce file size.
The online True False practice quizzes do not affect your grade. Have fun with them !
